Mindcrack Gears Up for Sixth Year of Streaming for Extra Life

Mindcrack has been one of the longest running organizations supporting Extra Life. Beginning in 2013, the team has raised almost $1 million USD for the kids through their combined efforts. This year, they are around $60,000 USD shy of their overall fundraising mission to surpass $1 million USD. Last year, the Mindcrack team managed to raise a little over $100,000 USD. They have set a goal this year of $200,000 USD and currently sit at $52,991 USD.

The team feels very confident that their 48-hour Extra Life stream that begins on October 25 will be what tips the team into their bold new frontier of fundraising. All of your favorite Mindcrack streamers will be involved:

  • Guude
  • Aureylian
  • Arkas
  • Jsano
  • KurtJMac
  • SethBling
  • Sevadus
  • W92Baj
  • OMGChad
  • Mhykol
  • Pakratt
  • Pyro

The Mindcrack stream will be sponsored by Marriott International, Asus, MadeGood, and MODX. Additionally, the stream will feature a variety of super-secret surprise guests on the stream for additional commentary. These guests will also appear in the Minecraft Ultra Hardcore matches that the Mindcrack team has been known for.

The team behind Mindcrack has been so dedicated to fundraising for Extra Life that some of them have become Extra Life Ambassadors! We featured Aureylian as she geared up for a recent stream to raise money for Children’s Hospital of St. Louis. There’s also Guude, who plays for Duke Hospital in North Carolina. OMGChad raises money for Dallas’ Children’s Medical Center. Finally, Sevadus has been playing for Kapi’olani Medical Center for Women & Children in Hawaii.

The stream will begin on October 25 at 12pm CDT with a lengthy pre-show. The stream proper will begin that night at 6pm CDT. Beginning with building games and VR horror games, it will go into the wee hours of the morning with audience involvement activities like Twitch Sings, Jack Box, and more! Saturday the 26th will feature the first Minecraft Ultra Hardcore match strange games like Battleship Twister, and something called “Bob Ross Paint Human Canvas.” The 27th will bring another round of Minecraft Ultra Hardcore, poker, and a spicy challenge before wrapping up with a closing ceremony at 5pm CDT.

Be sure to tune into all of the craziness on Twitch or the specially made Mindecrack Marathon website. You can join or support the Mindcrack fundraising efforts on their Extra Life team page.
